Applications for Round 2 of the Youth Engagement Grants are now closed.
The Youth Engagement Grants are part of the Victorian Government’s Building Safer Communities Program, a key initiative under the Crime Prevention Strategy which helps promote community safety and prevent crime in communities across Victoria.
Grants of up to $50,000 are available to small multicultural and Aboriginal clubs and organisations to support children and young people aged 8 to 24 make positive life choices, establish strong community connections and prevent contact with police and the justice system.
The grants will support projects that use cultural connection, sport, arts, music or other creative activities to engage children and young people.
The grants also support smaller community organisations build their capacity to engage with their community to implement local solutions and to provide early support to children and young people and connect them with other supports and services as needed.

Engaging with Pasifika Youth
Engaging with Youth supports Pasifika young people to connect with their culture and peers through playing Rugby and other activities. The project takes a holistic approach focussing on mental wellbeing and connecting young people to study and employment support.
South Sudanese Youth Support for Suicide Prevention
This project works to build awareness of positive mental health among young people and their families through engagement in sports, and homework support for the young people.
